Silene vulgaris

Silene blooms with white flowers in a bladed calyx. The flowers of this plant only begin to scent in the evening. The leaves of the plant are oblong, blue-green and edible. In Limburg, the Silene is a native plant of sparse grasslands, roadsides and stony places.
