Pelargonium Calliope grows best in a sunny, warm spot with well-drained soil. Avoid wet or heavily compacted soil, as too much moisture can cause root rot.
In spring, you may want to prune the plant back slightly to encourage growth and maintain a compact shape. During the growing season, regular watering is important, especially in dry periods, but let the soil dry out well in between to avoid root problems. In pots, it is extra important to avoid drying out and to put the plant inside or frost-free in severe frosts, as the Calliope is not hardy.
Remove spent flowers to keep the plant tidy and prolong flowering. Pelargonium Calliope is relatively low-maintenance and self-cleaning, so you have little work to do with dead flowers.
Plant density for borders is about 5 to 7 plants per square meter, spaced 30 to 40 cm apart. This gives the plants enough room to grow out without crowding each other.
In short: ensure a sunny location, good drainage and water sufficiently without keeping the soil wet. That way you will enjoy a colorful, strong bloomer all season long!
