Sempervivum

The name actually means “always alive” in Latin. That’s because this plant stores water in its leaves. This allows it to survive just fine in a sunny, dry spot. They require very little maintenance. Perfect for rock gardens, your green roof or nice in a bowl on the garden table. People also call it thunderweed or house garlic. This is because in the past this plant was put on roofs to protect the house from lightning and thunder. With us, you can find different varieties of Sempervivums, such as the Spider’s Web Houselook and the Common Houselook.
