Salvia farinacea blooms with deep violet-blue flowers from June to October. Very resistant to salty winds, making it well suited to coastal gardens. This colorful addition to the garden also attracts butterflies and bees.

In early summer, cuttings can be taken from the plant. It is important to trim the Salvia twice a year, in spring cut away the dead stems and after flowering the dead flowers. Pruning is not necessary.
