Put the plants in good permeable potting soil or garden soil, mix in some hydro grains, make sure excess water can drain out of the pot. This plant can handle drought well, pour the water on the soil and not straight on the stems. Give Portulacas in the pot some liquid fertilizer for annual plants once every 14 days. Remove the spent flowers, then your Portulaca will bloom longer, often even until the first night frost.
