Care tips

Hostas are low-maintenance plants for your garden. Remove all spent flowers after flowering, which encourages a second bloom in late summer. Transplanting in early spring when the first leaves appear is recommended. The same goes for dividing, after about three years hostas will have formed clumps suitable for dividing.
Do remove the dead leaves of the Hosta, dead leaves and flowers attract pests and diseases.
Snails are the Hosta’s greatest enemy, if they are in a (plastic) pot they will be less of a problem.
