Pruning dead or damaged leaves promotes the growth of new healthy leaves. The best time to prune is in early spring. Every 3 years rejuvenate the plants, pulling out and removing the long rhizome. Replant the small separate plants with small roots and a little rhizome. Too much water is disastrous for the Heuchera, but the soil should always be moderately moist. They grow in any garden soil that is not too dry and better in light shade than full sun.
This plant can be combined well with other plants, such as ornamental grasses, lavender, phlox and hydrangeas.
