Achillea millefolium has beautiful dark green and aromatic leaves and flowers from May onwards with white, pink or sometimes red umbel-shaped flower corymbs. The plant resists salty winds well, making it suitable for coastal gardens.

The plant dies each winter and sprouts again in the spring. The old foliage can be cut off or removed just before the Achillea starts to sprout again.
