Oxalis rubra grows best in a bright spot in full sun or partial shade. Provide normal, well-drained soil and water when the soil has been dry for an extended period, but avoid letting the soil become too wet. Remove spent flowers to encourage continued blooming. In the Netherlands, the plant is not hardy, so it is often grown as an annual or kept in a pot that is sheltered during the winter.
