Aster Alpinus

The alpine aster resists salt wind well, so it does well in coastal gardens. This plant is heavily visited by butterflies and bees. The Aster Alpinus is a small, compact, perennial groundcover. Blooms with relatively large white or blue-purple flower heads with a yellow center.

Care tips

The alpine aster is suitable for all types of soil, if well-drained. The plant can be propagated in several ways, such as by sowing, dividing or cuttings. Remove spent flowers regularly to promote plant growth. Divide the plant in spring or fall to keep the plant healthy and encourage new growth.

The Alpenaster is a deciduous plant with fresh green leaves in spring, summer and fall. Happy to give plenty of water in dry periods.
