Bergenia cordifolia ‘Eroica’

The Cobbler plant blooms in spring with pinkish-red flowers. And is special because of its persistent leathery, beautifully shiny leaves. As soon as it gets colder, the leaves turn purple. Also a real asset for the winter border.

Care tips

In spring, around March or April after the last night frost, cut away the old, dead leaves. After flowering, about in June, cut off the spent flowers and stems to about 5 inches above the ground. By doing this, you encourage the plant to re-sprout and rejuvenate.
